Founded in 1972, Chelmsford Morris Men dance in the Cotswold style of morris dancing, performing dances originating from Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. The dances are known for their high energy, using sticks or hankies to complement them.​​

Founded in 1979, Chelmsford Morris Ladies dance in the North-West Clog style of morris dancing, performing dances originating from Lancashire and Cheshire. The dances are known for their rhythmic sound from the clogs, high kicks and they feature a range of slings, sticks and garlands to compliment them.

​

Our dances are accompanied by our band of musicians , whose instruments include melodeons, drums, recorders and a bassoon. These all enhance our colourful spectacle!
